Palliative & End of
Life Care
Cared for by people
who know them well.
We understand this is a deeply personal and sensitive time. Our compassionate and experienced team is here to provide comfort, dignity, and support — ensuring your loved one can remain in familiar surroundings, cared for by people who know them well.
What is palliative care?
Palliative care is specialist care focused on providing comfort, dignity and support for people living with a life-limiting illness. It is not about hastening or postponing death, but about ensuring the best possible quality of life — managing pain and symptoms, and providing emotional and practical support for both the person and their family.
At Broxburn Care Home in West Lothian, palliative care means your loved one can stay in surroundings that have become familiar to them, looked after by a team they have come to know and trust. We work closely with families every step of the way, ensuring that everyone feels supported, heard and never alone.
We also liaise with GPs, district nurses and specialist palliative care teams to ensure that medical care is coordinated and that your loved one's wishes are respected throughout.
We know that every family's journey is different. There is no single right answer, and there is no pressure. We are here to listen, to answer your questions, and to support you — whatever you decide.
If you would like to talk through your situation, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We are always here.
