Our nursing team works closely with GPs, specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure every resident receives the right level of care at every stage — whether needs are straightforward or complex.
What is nursing care?
Nursing care is a type of residential care that includes round-the-clock support from qualified nurses. It is suitable for people with complex medical needs that require regular clinical monitoring, medication management or hands-on nursing support — going beyond what standard residential care can provide.
The key difference between residential and nursing care is the level of clinical support available. Residential care focuses on personal care and daily living. Nursing care includes all of this, plus 24/7 access to qualified nursing professionals who can manage complex health needs and respond quickly if circumstances change.

Residential care provides personal care and support with daily living — such as washing, dressing and mealtimes. Nursing care includes all of this, plus round-the-clock access to qualified nurses who can manage complex medical needs, administer medications and monitor clinical conditions.
There is a qualified nurse in the home 24 hours a day, seven days a week, led by our Home Manager and Clinical Lead. Our nursing team works closely with GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure every resident receives the right level of care at every stage.
Nursing care may be appropriate if your loved one has complex medical needs, requires regular clinical monitoring, needs help managing medications, has recently been discharged from hospital, or has a condition that is likely to become more complex over time. A GP or social worker can carry out a formal assessment to help determine the right level of care.
We have a qualified nurse on site 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our staffing levels are tailored to residents' needs, with teams and skill mixes adjusted as those needs change. We are regulated by the Care Inspectorate and were most recently rated Good.
